What about Gruden in Philly?

02:41 PM ET 11.08 | The annual string of rumors surrounding Jon Gruden's return to coaching is here. Gruden, ESPN's Monday Night Football broadcaster, has been out of the league since the 2008 season. It's easy to tie Gruden to the Eagles, as WIP's Howard Eskin did, considering Gruden was an offensive coordinator there before taking the head coaching job in Oakland in 1998. While we don't know whether Gruden will rejoin the NFL coaching ranks, we do know the rumors won't quiet anytime soon.

Take the job Gruden, then we won't have to listen to your self aggrandizing stories as a commentator.

Good point. I don't think he'll go to Philly unless he likes what he sees in Nick Foles. It's pretty much a given that whoever comes in there is not going to stick with Vick. They'll want a legitimate NFL QB to run the team.

That was my first thought too.......whatever it takes to get him off of MNF.

Gruden is not an idiot. He has a real good gig already. Why give that up for the grind of coaching again ?

At first Gruden would be the best thing that ever hit Philly since Rocky, but if he starts losing right away they will quickly turn on him and boo him out of town.

Doubt it. Gruden is a perfect fit for Philly. Most Eagles fans know that some rebuilding is unavoidable now.

I don't know about about Gruden in Phily but I do know Andie Reid will be in Dallas next season. And he may want to take Vick with him to back up and eventually replace Romo. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if Vick, Reid and Tebow all ended up in Dallas next season.

Gruden should be happy, whenever he comments on a game every player is awesome, so he probably thinks the Eagles are pretty awesome.

Gruden is going to San Diego and we don't want to hear anything else about it. Our Christmas wish includes getting rid of Norv Turner. Done deal already, nuff said!

Talk about the perfect storm. I'm not sure if even JJ is capable of that kind of move.

Gruden is fine...very intelligent and well spoken. But I can't even watch MNF any more because of that ignorant, arrogant ass of a partner he has. I have never seen anyone who knows less about football in that position. His errors are comical. Turico has GOT to go!! Please ESPN...Bring Nesser and Blackledge to MNF!!!!
