05:21 PM ET 11.08 | New Orleans Hornets prized rookie Anthony Davis hopes to return to the lineup on Friday when the Hornets square off against the Charlotte Bobcats. Davis has not played in a week after suffering a concussion in the Hornets' win over the Utah Jazz. Hornets coach Monty Williams was a bit more cautious, suggesting that he'll know for sure whether Davis and fellow rookie Austin Rivers will end up playing. Rivers suffered a finger injury and missed the Hornets' loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday.

Coming back to play Bobcats will bode well for his stats. He'll probably make up all the points and rebounds in that game. Smart move on his part.
