08:11 AM ET 11.09 | With the Knicks and Mavericks facing off Friday, all sorts of storylines unfolded with former Mavs. Tyson Chandler said if Dallas owner Mark Cuban played his cards right after the lockout, he could have brought Dallas a second championship. After the Mavericks won the 2010 title, however, Cuban moved on, didn't offer Chandler a contract and let key role players such as point guard J.J. Barea flee during free agency. ... Dallas, after a disappointing first-round KO in last season's playoffs, are off to a strong 4-1 start. "I'm glad because I'm here," Chandler said of Cuban's indifference. "It's a great situation. I'm very happy with the situation. I definitely think we had an opportunity to win back-to-back. Unfortunately things were blown up."

We all move on...

Good matchup tonight. Both teams off to a good start - this is one of those measuring stick games. If my grandson's final high school football game wasn't tonight, I would be listening to it.

And no, Doc - Cuban didn't screw this team up. :^)

This Chandler dude needs to mute his mouth and just play ball. The past is gone. Let it go and focus on what you can do tonight.

Otis, you know Apple is watching.............The blowup by Cuban didn't sit well with me. We'll see after this season and the summer of free agency if ya boy knew what he was doing. You will see and we all will see!

Yeah, this is a game everyone should be interested in. I have not seen the Knicks yet. Watched the Mavs only once, and Mayo and Kaman looked very good.

4-1 and they're playing good w/out their best player. The chemistry is great and they have some young fresh legs.

Yeah, the Mavs look very good. They have a rookie Jae Crowder, who is doing very well.

Sorry but Chandler is wrong.

The Mavs, had everyone come back, were not going to be able to duplicate the ridiculous shooting they did in 2010.

The Thunder were playing too well and would have sent them home, then ultimately losing to Miami.

NY overpaid for Chandler. Kaman, if healthy is a better center. The Mavs are younger and have cap flexibility. Now Jason Kidd's 'slow break' is NY's problem. Dallas will compete for years to come. We thank Tyson for his service while he was here, but we've moved on.
