Hibbert playing in 'a funk'

08:14 AM ET 11.09 | After five games, Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert hasn't yet lived up to the $58-million contract he signed in the offseason. Hibbert doesn't need anybody to tell him he's struggling. It's been evident on his face inside the locker room lately. He sits at his locker with his head lowered. Then he stands, answering questions, his voice lowered in disappointment. That's in stark contrast to the player who routinely enjoys getting fans energized in the game. "I'm just not getting it done, not in a rhythm," Hibbert said. "It's a funk that I have to get out of," Hibbert said. "People can say what they want to say. I know they're going to say things. I know what I'm worth. I know what I can do, it's just a tough stretch now."

Ha... it's quite interesting how players get into a funk right after signing a huge contract.

I like Hibbert and I hope he gets out of his funk and soon. I'm not just saying that because he is on my fantasy team either...

Bring in a big man Mentor like Kareem or Hakeem. The guy is too talented not to try everything you can to develop him. Not really an Indiana fan, but I find myself rooting for the guy (Except against my teams).

Pick Indy to do their thing last year only to get a squad that thought the could beat the Heat by running their collective mouths in the news papers rather than play ball. Let my boy Darren Collison go and now Hibbidy Hop ain't living up to the Big Pay Day! Larry Legend must have saw this coming! Wonder how long it will be before Indy thinks about trading him to Portland!
