Dodgers targeting Kuroda and Sanchez

08:18 AM ET 11.09 | While the Dodgers appear willing to live up to the speculation they'll be the biggest spenders in baseball, Zack Greinke may not top their list of free agents. The Dodgers are targeting Hiroki Kuroda and Anibal Sanchez as their main pitching targets, according to people familiar with their thinking. This news should be of some comfort to the Angels, who internally have wondered whether their crosstown rival might try to blow them out of the water on Greinke, who is clearly their far and away No. 1 winter goal. The Dodgers are likely to at least look at Greinke, Kyle Lohse and others, as they are determined to land at least one starting pitcher -- and maybe two -- but indications are strong that Kuroda, the former Dodger, and Sanchez are their guys.

The Angels blow their chance to resign Greinke before he became a free agent, but now if he does sign with the Dodgers the fans may turn on the GM and the team for letting him get away.

If they give Annibal what he wants, they are truly crazy...Magic will kill this team before it is all said and done.

If LA is targeting the mid-range starters it may be that they have some fiscal reality sense after all.

LA seems to have more pitching than most teams. Kershaw-Beckett is not a bad 1-2 punch, and guys such as Capuano are good on the back end. I just cannot see other teams, more needy for pitching, allowing the Dodgers to swoop in and steal these guys.
