11:39 AM ET 11.09 | Mike Brown is clearly on thin ice as the Los Angeles Lakers get off to a 1-4 start, but just how much is his job really in jeopardy? Apparently, a lot. Reports now suggest that Brown needs his team to have a good performance on an upcoming homestand for him to keep his job through the middle of November. The Lakers will play the Golden State Warriors, Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs, Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets and Brooklyn Nets at STAPLES Center between now and November 20.

Mike better give the Zen Master a call for some advice before that home stand!

I don't think Phil Jackson wants any of this. Too much work.
He was waiting for the OKC management to kick out Scott Brooks hoping to start off with an already developed team and reap the rewards within the year. The easy way.

The Lakers better get this show on the road, there's really no excuse for their lack luster start to the season. Miami started slow when Lebron and Bosh signed but they were consistent with win and losses; the Lakers are just consistent with losses. Mike Brown better begin to believe he's coaching in LA not Cleveland, if you don't win in LA your basically out of a coaching job. I know he has big shoes to fill coming after Phil, Jackson took the Lakers to three straight championship finals when he took over and then followed up with an additional three championship appearance after the trade for Gasol. I know the situations are a bit different but at the same time its still remains LA and your suppose to win here, especially with the type of talent the Lakers assembled. I do believe the Princeton offense is not proper for this team, the Princeton is designed for teams that lose.
