01:21 PM ET 11.09 | The Kansas City Chiefs have 10 more turnovers than any other team in the NFL this year -- 14 interceptions and 15 fumbles -- and Romeo Crennel has had enough. The Chiefs head coach has said any turnovers against the Steelers on Monday night could mean a spot on the bench. "I have to impart on them the importance of protecting the ball for this team," Crennel said, "and sometimes to get that done, you basically have to threaten them. If you fumble it, I'm going to take you out of the game. And they will get the message."

This might be a good tactic. Get the team to focus on basic football--holding on to the ball, for instance--and take the game one play at a time. That might get a better performance. Not enough to win, maybe, but enough to avoid embarrassing themselves.
