Longhorns honor Darrell Royal with wishbone trick play

12:39 AM ET 11.11 | The Texas Longhorns found many ways to honor the late, great Darrell Royal on Saturday. The team played with "DKR" logos on the Longhorn helmet decal and at the 50-yard line, but that was nothing compared to the brilliant tribute Mack Brown drew up to open the game. The Longhorns offense lined up for their first offensive play of the game against Iowa State out of the wishbone offense as a tribute to legendary former head coach who passed away earlier this week. While the wishbone was primarily used for a heavy rushing attack which Royal loved, the Longhorns ran a trick play and threw the ball downfield for a major gain. Texas put a new school spin on the wishbone by pitching the ball to Jaxon Shipley, who threw it back to quarterback David Ash, who ended up throwing it downfield to tight end Greg Daniels for 47 yards. It was a nice new wrinkle to the old school formation. Check out the play on FanSided.com.

True and apologies to DKR....

My point is that TU has Harsin so they are leaning that way...trickery vs old-time power football. This is American Football...not European Futbol

Some old fart picked the avi and LUS thought it was phukkkkin great. If I knew how to make it harder to see, I would.
