10:04 AM ET 11.11 | Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor is making progress, albeit slow, in negotiating with an out-of-state successor he hopes to take over majority ownership in the team. One requirement is that the franchise, as well as that of the Lynx, remains in Minnesota.

Yeah, the Seattle grouip is making the rounds. Rumor list is Charlotte, Minn, Orland, Sac, NO. At least for now. We'll see what happens.

There are only 5 teams that matter in the new NBA.

Basketball is a hard sale in Minnesota, but if they could change the game to be played on ice they would have sellouts every night.

I don't know, they had their best attendance in 8 years last year and ranked in the top half of the league, despite tons of injuries. Traditionally it's been a hard sell since KG left, but last year (and this year so far) was pretty good. I don't why MN gets such a bad rap for supporting their sports teams.

Lakers, Clippers, Thunder, Heat, Celtics?

What about the Bulls, Pistons, Spurs, Knicks, Nuggets, Mavericks and Rockets?
Why would there only be 5 teams that matter?

Glen Taylor is an AWESOME owner!

Despite being in a small market, the man will spend big to win if he thinks it will push the team over the top. Also, he obviously won't move the team.

What more could you ask for in a sports team owner!?
