10:56 AM ET 11.11 | The Minnesota Vikings will play without injured wide receiver Percy Harvin in Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions at 1 p.m. Harvin sprained his ankle in last week's game against theSeattle Seahawks. Harvin has been listed as doubtful all week. Rosenthal noted that he was still limping badly on the ankle late in the week. The Vikings beat the Lions in September, 20-13, and Harvin played a big role in that outcome, returning the opening kickoff 105 yards for a touchdown. Neither of the Vikings' touchdowns in that game were scored by the offense. Harvin has 62 catches for 677 yards and three touchdowns this season. He's averaging 36 yards per kickoff return.

Your team is setting at 5-4 with really no chance of making the playoffs, so it is the best thing to do with your best all around player and a bye next week is to sit him and let him heal.
