11:27 AM ET 11.11 | High-powered California political officials have been courting Carolina owner Jerry Richardson in the hopes of bringing the Panthers to Los Angeles with no luck to date, said one source familiar with the discussions. Richardson has been polite and steadfast that he is committed to Charlotte and is not moving the Panthers. The only scenario in which he would listen would be if Charlotte balked at helping him with some of the stadium renovations the Panthers have been seeking.

I'd be stunned if the Panthers moved.

If I am the LA group I would be focusing on TB and Jacksonville instead of Carolina, because neither is setting the woods on fire with their attendance.

"The only scenario in which he would listen would be if Charlotte balked at helping him with some of the stadium renovations the Panthers have been seeking."

The headline should be: "NFL owners continue using the threat of a move to LA to get money from the taxpayers."

I really don't care... If the Panthers leave then **maybe** the "Powers That Be" will show a **real** NFL team on Sundays..

lol, I know how you feel. But after years of wandering in the wilderness, Seattle is finally putting a decent team on the field, with hope for better as the year goes on. Don't give up!
