Notre Dame needs luck to get to National Championship

12:00 AM ET 11.12 | The Irish may be playing out of their minds but luck is clearly not on their side -- neither is the BCS system. After winning yet another game on Saturday and improving to 10-0 on the season, the Irish still can't make it past No. 3 in the BCS rankings even after the former No. 1 Crimson Tide were knocked off by Texas A&M. There are still two regular season games left for Notre Dame to leave their mark, including a season finale against the USC Trojans. Kansas State has one ranked opponent left in Texas (who really scares no one), while Oregon has two ranked games left against No. 13 Stanford, who beat USC when they were ranked No. 2, and No. 16 Oregon State, who knocked off a highly ranked Wisconsin team earlier this year. The season isn't over, and a lot can happen between now and when the Bowl games are officially announced, but the Irish are going to need that luck to kick in sooner rather than later.

Luck now plays in Indianapolis, and the Irish don't need him.
What we need is to beat the tar out of Wake Forset and USC and then let the public demand for ND in the National Championship game get those who vote in the polls to realize this is a team of destiny!

Luck? No. We need Ash, David Ash, to come through in the clutch.

You'd just use 'em to make a cross on your forehead.

i believe that its about 50-50-not many people sit on the fence when it comes to nd-u either love them or hate them-generally i dont care who anyone else plays except obviouly when it comes to usc-i actually was rooting, hate to say it, for usc last week but they let me down-nd has to take care of their side of the equation and win out to even have a chance to get to the big dance-hard to believe if nd is undeafeted and possibly not able to compete for the nc
