Jets' season effectively over

08:00 AM ET 11.12 | The odds have grown longer nearly each week of this dispiriting 2012 season for the Jets and their head coach, Rex Ryan. The schedule-makers require [Ryan's] team to play seven more games, but make no mistake: The Jets' season is effectively over. Gang Green looked nothing like the re-focused and refreshed team that it professed to be coming off the bye in a 28-7 loss to the Seahawks on Sunday. The Jets fell to 3-6 thanks to the same litany of mistakes that have plagued them for the better part of the season. ... The Jets are on mathematical life support to make the postseason. Only 1.4% of teams that have started 3-6 or worse through nine games have made the playoffs in the current 12-team postseason format

The game one win in Buffalo was the playoffs for the Jets. Everything else is just an inconvenience.

GM Tannenbaum is already looking at resurrecting this team with Michael Vick and Norv Turner next year.

November 12, 2012  08:56 AM ET

It ended a few weeks ago when they lost to DD's Patriots.

They went the way of most of Rex's predictions...

I wouldn't wish that on any team.

Well, maybe Green Bay...

Damn, another game yesterday where we played almost badly enough to lose. Good thing Buffalo has a Harvard man to throw a key pick when we needed it most.

For a trade to anywhere.

Saskatchewan.

Or Jacksonville. Same competitive level of football, but better weather in Florida.

G-G-G-Men! J-J-J-Jets!

Sandy isn't the only disaster to hit the New York - New Jersey Metropolitan Area this fall. Maybe FEMA can give the Jets a trailer or something.

Seen Rexy yesterday in his interveiw after the game .....He said I've been coaching a long time and I know how to evaluate players and so-on and Sanchaze is our QB for the rest of the year - he gives us our best chance to win now.Tebow will continue in his roll........The whole problem in the Jets team starts is with the coach and then trickles down.

Slip up with Vegas only having Seattle as a 6 point favorite .. easiest money I pocketed this year.

It's past the point of trickling down. It's in full-swirl now.
