08:04 AM ET 11.12 | After Deron Williams turned his ankle on a post-shot landing against the Magic, neither he nor his head coach were very pleased with how it happened. With Magic guard E'Twuan Moore getting too close to him, Williams had no room to come down cleanly and crashed to the floor. He stayed down and grabbed his left ankle. It left both [Avery Johnson] and Williams scared and angry. "The defense is moving under him a little bit more, he's not getting level ground to come down. That's something I know the officials will continue to evaluate," Johnson said. ... Though he said the ankle felt "fine" after the game, Williams was clearly annoyed with the officials. "I came down on the defender's foot, that's supposed to be a foul," Williams said. "It's a point of emphasis."

Sounds like shades of Bruce Bowen. My question is how come Avery never had a problem with him. Bruce caused more sprained ankles than any player in NBA History!

Is it illegal to be "too close" to a player who is elevated off the ground? No, you say? Then get over it.

Mike Brown is fired yet Avery Johnson remains.

Mind boggling I tell you.

Only to those with small minds :-D
