Two Dodgers soon to be on the block

08:13 AM ET 11.12 | Ned Colletti and the Dodgers, after winning a bid for Korean pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu, now have a little less than a month to negotiate with Scott Boras for the lefty's services. "We are thrilled to have this exciting opportunity," said Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti. ... Presumably, Ryu would satisfy Colletti's expressed desire to add a front-line pitcher to a starting rotation that already includes Clayton Kershaw, Chad Billingsley, Josh Beckett, Aaron Harang, Chris Capuano and Ted Lilly. The signing of Ryu would allow a trade -- most likely of Harang or Capuano -- once the team is satisfied that Lilly had recovered from shoulder surgery or Billingsley had avoided Tommy John elbow surgery after suffering a partially torn ligament.

Harang at this time of his career is a fourth of fifth starter, thus the best the Dodgers probably would get in return is a journeyman player or a prospect.

Once again the Dodgers are going to flush some more money down the toilet. Let see How about either spending 1 year @ 12 mill on Kuroda who is a proven starter that enjoyed pitching in L.A , or if you are going to break the piggy bank Go after the big fish in Greinke. But of course Ned prefers to deal with Boras on a out of shape Korean import that is projected to at best a middle of the rotation starter, which will probably cost the Dodgers close to 100 mill with the posting fee already factored in .

As a Lifelong Dodger fan I am glad to see the team finally spending like a big market ball club , but this is simply ridiculous . I can see ownership looking to sell the franchise in a few years after realizing there is no way you will make up the money you invested into the franchise just like the Kevin Malone Rupert ,Murdoch tandem years ago.

boras has everything in his favor, and the dodgers or ANY team would have to pay whatever boras demand, is good that the halos don't have to go through this boras agent,,,

on a lapse of three falls, the dodgers win one fall, boras wins two falls and the win goes to boras, dodgers would likely be paying more than the rangers did for DARVISH,,,,
