Weis' Twitter plea to fans: Please show up

08:17 AM ET 11.12 | Charlie Weis went to social media route over the weekend in hopes of giving his team a boost. [Weis] took to Twitter on Sunday afternoon and implored Kansas fans to fill the stands for senior night against Iowa State. Despite signs of progress, Weis acknowledged that KU's record doesn't give him much coaching capital for making such a request. The plea really came on behalf on KU's seniors, who could use a happy memory to close their careers. "Obviously, everyone wants to play in front of a full house and everyone wants the whole student body there," Weis said. "That's what I want. At the same time, I can't ask them to do it for me. Right now I'm a new head coach that's 1-9. But I can ask them to do it for (the seniors)."

Actually he seems to be making his plea on behalf of his seniors who deserve a final game with fan support, which is the right thing to be asking IMO. I am usually one of the first in line with the fat jokes, but I applaud his message this time.

I agree... They have been competitive in several games many thought they would not be. Go support the kids on your team, that is what this is all about in the end is it not?

They have been in several games...only a handful of blowouts... K-State, Zero U and Baylor (that one was bad.)

DS, remind me not to go to Vegas with you! You have to be the unluckiest guy on the pickem. The rest of us have "guessed" at those games as much or worse than you have. We've just been lucky enough to "guess" correctly. I'll admit I've been guessing a lot. Have no idea on some of those games that sick guy named LUS selects. LMAO
