Well, his wedding reception was an unmitigated disaster when, after signing the marriage license, the mind-control serum he gave his wife ran out and realizing what she had done she bolted for the exit and hitched a ride with a biker.

I got one of my trucks arriving at the corner of Front and Yonge at 7 tomorrow carrying exactly those items...

Why would they show up? Outside of being the owners lead dogs they really have no connection to the game or its history. Nobody wants you there gary..take the night off and hit the Brass rail instead.

Either that or pelt them with rotten garbage, like in the old school theatres... The 4 players honoured should be the only focus of this event, not the ego maniacal midget and his improvident lack-wit of a henchman.

If Bettman was smart he'd avoid the whole thing...but he's obviously not smart so i hope they heckle the sh__it outta him.

Might I suggest a Sakic wrist shot to the five hole...only to have him miss on the high side since he's a little rusty from retirement.

And i hope Bettman for HIS sake gives up his right to hand off the Cup to the Champs....make the last years Captain hand the Cup over.......could you imagine when Pitt. and Detroit both went to the Finals and Pitt won the 2nd meeting and Lidstrom handing the Cup over to Crosby ?? Ahhhhhh...would make it that much more sweeter.

He really should. Will he?
His own sense of self importance will dictate his moves.
So...if I were a betting man,(no pun intended and I'm not for the record) I'd have to put money down that he does show up.

I wish I could be there with a bag full of rotten fruit. Bettman has destroyed the NHL. There will be no coming back from this disaster. I vowed never to attend a game again after the last lock-out, as long as Bettman was running the league. This time I am done with the league in any fashion as long as this **** is in charge.

A Sakic wrist shot to the five hole....perfect! Unfortunately there is no high side to miss on.

It's pretty low (even for him) to go out of his way to ruin a once in a lifetime event for the inductees.
