08:21 AM ET 11.12 | The news for Canadiens prospect Blake Geoffrion, who was seriously injured Friday night, is already becoming more hopeful. [Geoffrion] is out of intensive care and feeling well enough to provide an update on Twitter. The Montreal Gazette reported that the Hamilton (Ontario) Bulldogs forward was moved to a regular hospital room on Sunday morning, less than 48 hours after he had surgery for a depressed skull fracture. "Feeling better," Geoffrion, 24, tweeted Sunday evening while also announcing that Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt told him he had a special celebration planned in honor of his fellow University of Wisconsin alumnus if he got a sack Sunday night.

Indeed, skull fractures no matter how minor are a serious issue. May he have a speedy and complete recovery.

Just rest it up and have the season off, like everyone else. <smh>

I see nothing wrong with it. Just unfortunate the way his head hit the ice, that seems to be where the damage came from.

Yeah...I gave up on it, it just seemed to want to emulate the current state of the NHL and not play.

It's a nice little bit of hockey since we don't have any and well connected to the story... a further piece of trivia is that the Geoffrions are relations of the great Howie Morenz...I forget how though. Someone else can look it up and remind me if they like.
Thanks.
