02:07 PM ET 11.12 | Philadelphia 76ers fans will need to wait a long time before they see Andrew Bynum in a game. The team announced that Bynum isn't even expected to resume any sort of basketball activities until December 10, and from there, it could be as many as four weeks until he returns to the court. The doctor that Bynum has been taken to see has consistently pushed back the date for his return, so it's reasonable to wonder if Bynum will return to the court until January or even later. Bynum has not played since suffering a bone bruise in his knee in mid-September.

Doesn't sound like a great trade now.

I said this a long time ago. Bogut, Bynum, Curry, Amare are all shot. They're a huge waste of a contract

Didn't the Sixers do their homework on this guy?

Maybe a good thing LA made the trade?

November 12, 2012  05:28 PM ET

The Sixers HAD to make this trade. They weren't going to go past the second round with the roster they had at the end of last season. They needed to get Iggy off the books. They took a shot on a guy who (if healthy) is the 2nd best center in the league (best offensively).

If he isn't healthy at all this year and it doesn't work out, they can just not sign him to an extension and move on building their team.

He's not exactly enhancing his value as a future free agent...
