07:55 AM ET 11.13 | Coming out of a weekend where a number of quarterbacks were knocked from games, the big one may have come to Pittsburgh, too. Two sources indicated that Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger suffered a separated shoulder in Pittsburgh's Monday night's 13-10 overtime win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Roethlisberger was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital for an MRI exam, according to his agent, Ryan Tollner. In addition, one source indicated that the injury is "unusual," although it's unclear if that is good or bad news. "There's a lot to be figured out and we probably won't know anything definitive until the morning, but that's what the [Steelers] team doctor said," a source said. Steelers spokesman Burt Lauten said there is no official word on the injury.

That's pretty damn cryptic.

Typical NFL. And, even if he is in a full body cast, the Steelers will list him as "questionable" right up until game time.

16-13. Not too sure about those sources.

"Calling Dr. Belichick. Calling Dr. Belichick."
If they're going to fine teams for not listing every tiny baseball-type injury, this is what you get.
"Questionable" is fine. He may be able to sip chicken soup through a straw.

He'll always want to play, that's for sure but we saw what happened last year when he should have been kept out of a couple of games

They played horrible last night , really sucked. Now they have the Ravens for 2 of the next 3 games without Roethlisberger, that doesn't look good...

They're going to need the defense to step up and play smash-mouth Steeler football like they did against the Giants.

I thought he had arm troubles even before the season started. I'm sure this doesn't help.

Ravens no where close to what they have been with their rush defense. That could be the key if Ben can't play.

Leftwich has a cannon of an arm. Hope he can hang in the pocket long enough to use it.

What on earth does "unusual" mean? They probably would have been better off to leave that word out of their statement.

The real question is whether it's a "legitimate" separated shoulder to go with Roethlisrapist's legitimate rape history.

Maybe we can look at this as an "opportunity" to see the back-up in play, like SF, and Philly, and some others...oh wait, Roethlisberger is actually good, and we have seen his backup before and weren't impressed.
For Pittsburgh's sake, I hope he isn't as badly hurt as it sounds, and gets back soon.
