08:07 AM ET 11.13 | At this early juncture, nothing is final, particularly with one's own free agents, but A.J. Pierzynski seems a step closer by the day to playing in another uniform in 2013. [Even] though both sides have good intentions, several mitigating factors could combine to interfere with a reunion. ... Sentimentality can factor in as well and either party could potentially bend to bring Pierzynski back to the South Side. White Sox owner Jerry Reinsdorf made sure such a reunion happened in 2011 when he got involved at the last minute, sources have confirmed. But it will likely take another such intervention or Pierzynski again agreeing to take less for him to call 35th Street his baseball home once again.

That SS award will just make him more expensive. He was pretty damn good last year.

My opinion the Sox have the upper hand with AJ, because there is not a lot of teams out there looking for a catcher unless the Boston calls.

Boston has enough DB's on the roster, they don't need any more.

boston has enough catchers already plus the red sox are trying to find a spot for mike napoli with more flexibility playing time either on the DH spot/first base/and or as a catcher....pierziynsky could fit well in rangers team or as a last resort the rays,,, its doubtfull on the white sox organization too many chiefs not enough indians,,,,

i would considered the halos give this catcher a try but as a backup, angels have lost just about any deffensive catcher and cris eiannetta can't promise any good prodution neither good deffensive seasons in the halos team, likely this angels regular catcher could spend another two months on the DL next season why?? because he is just too fragil to be behind the plate,,,,,

angels still limping in the catching spot, if they refuse to accept their mistakes is a totally different point of view,,,ever since they brought eianetta the starters ERA jumped to a higher number and it toped the 5;60 ERA , if numbers mean nothing to the halos then i don't know what to say any more!!!

a tough deffensive catcher should be top priority on any team, but not in the angels team to the halos priority behind the plate means nothing as of late!!!
