With Cutler concussed, Bears sign backup QB

12:56 PM ET 11.13 | The Chicago Bears signed free agent quarterback Josh McCown on Tuesday as Jay Cutler recovers from a concussion he suffered in the Bears 13-6 loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday. Cutler was knocked out of the game against the Texans and was replaced by Jason Campbell. If Cutler is unable to start on Monday, Nov. 19 when the Bears take on theSan Francisco 49ers, Campbell will start in his place and McCown will serve as the backup.

I am one who has always disliked Campbell, the guy is content with completing the shortest check down pass and refuses to take shots whatsoever. Can't win with a guy like that, no matter how good your defense is.

Love the defense but Campbell will not and has not moved the ball with a semblance of consistentsy for years now. I'd rather have Jay in there, he may mess up but at least he isn't afraid to challenge a defense. He allows people the chance to make a play
