08:06 AM ET 11.14 | Just how intent is Chip Kelly about coming to the NFL? One way I know: Tampa wasn't the only pro job he was sniffing around last winter, according to sources with two teams. And whether it's potential NCAA sanctions at Oregon or Super Bowl aspirations that have him eyeing the league, it's accepted that Kelly will be out there on the market (though maybe not until after the Jan. 7 BCS title game). One AFC exec said of Kelly, "The intangibles, personality-wise, the organizational skills, the detail, the passion for winning -- all those check out. But you'd have to have an agreement -- we're gonna give this a go and see what happens. Is he gonna adapt?" ... An NFC exec said he thinks the buzz around Kelly is owner-driven.

Mr. Kelly the Jets would like a word with you as soon as possible.

OK, let's say he goes to the NFL. If he goes to Philly, he'll probably want to keep Vick. That's sure to work. NY Jets and Tebow? Well, at least we'd get multiple threads each day. Carolina and Newton? Hmmmm....

Don't be stupid chip .. You have a great program , and job security for life . Once you get to the NFL its a level playing field ,You cannot put money in every top player's pocket to come play for you .. Just ask Spurrier and Saban.

He should stay with Oregon. He could the Saban of the west for years to come...

Washington and Colorado did, and on that note, Tyronne Mathieu will be transferring to U of Washington or U of Colorado next year...

Chip would be a good match for all that offensive talent in Philly. Maybe he could make that offensive talent less offensive.

It's important, when selecting a institution of higher learning, to understand the need to fit in.

Then there's the Bolts, the Boys, maybe the Saints.....the list is long.

He'll go to the pros. Never underestimate the power of a bloated ego or the desperation of an owner with more money than brains.

If he tanks in the NFL, he'd be able to get another college job in no time.
