Bush playing to stay in Miami

08:04 AM ET 11.15 | For Reggie Bush, a clock ticks. He's in a prolonged slump dating to the third game of the season, when he suffered a knee injury against the New York Jets. Bush has played every game this season (after missing only one in 2011) but is coming off a four-carry, 21-yard showing against Tennessee in which he was benched for a long stretch after losing a first-quarter fumble that led to a Titans score and touched off a rout. ... [Upon his arrival, Bush] was zero parts gossip mag and soap opera, but rather a teammate of consequence and influence. He still is all of that positive stuff. Now, though, he has to deliver another batch of on-field goods. The answer Bush provides across the next seven games might determine whether he gets another contract with Miami.

It didn't take long for the Dolphins to go from surprising Wild Card contenders to another team that's looking forward to the off-season, did it?

Well you might to give him the ball then, to see what he's got.

Yeah - a lot of 6-3 teams to try and climb past.

Lost to a team by 34 points that had lost the week before by 31 points.

Just who the heck would want him anyways.

Do you realize that Reggie Bush has more rushing yards than Michael Turner, Trent Richardson or Steven Jackson??? Reggie will never be an every down player, but he could help a team by catching the ball out of the backfield.

Reggie is an exciting player to watch. I hope he stays in Miami. It has been a long time since we have had a back with moves he has. He is fun to watch.

That's what is confusing me about this whole fumble story... The guy has only lived up to his hype as usual this season.

Any team with a big, physical back who needs a change up.

Do you know Reggie Bush has more rushing yards than Drew Brees?? Let's open a thread about the incessantly complaining, whining, poor me, Drew Brees and those poor, poor Saints. It's just aweful what those mean, bully, unfair NFL executives are doing to them. Drama Queen Drew Brees, shut your pie hole! Open thread! :)....

I'd have to agree. He's kept his nose clean and done his job. It's not his fault that the Tannehill throws picks.

One fumble. Almost every running back fumbles on occasion, even the best of them. Would you bench Adrian Peterson over one fumble?

Um . . .let's see. . . you don't care too much for Brees, do you ? LOL!

He has been an asset in Miami...

Can't have enough of them.

ahhh.....that's correct. He's whining so much about bounty scandal punishments...while the quarterbacks his team bountied were getting concussed. (I admit, one was on my team). At the very least, he could keep quiet.

Now that someone's acknowledged my angst, I think I can quit. Thank you.

That was my thought, too. The Palm Beach Post seems to be stirring the pot a little.
