Knicks treating players like children?

08:08 AM ET 11.15 | Under James Dolan's ownership, could one even fathom Phil Jackson working as the Knicks' head coach? Today, Dolan looks like the smartest owner around because he has a winning coach in Mike Woodson and a savvy general manager in Glen Grunwald. He also has two guys he can control. Woodson, a Brown protege, had to sever ties with Brown's agent before Dolan would talk contract. Grunwald, as nice a guy as you will find, is barred from speaking to the media. Heck, the Knicks have employees whose job is to eavesdrop on conversations between reporters and players. We're talking established veterans who are 37, 38 and 40 years old being treated like children. And it's not like Jason Kidd is revealing what really happened in Benghazi.

dumb story interns.....dont try to create a story

Yes, you're 100 on this. I absolutely (and I never thought I'd say this) like what Jimmy "moron" Dolan has done. Given the cap room the knicks had, his people have done very well and its reflective in their team play at this point. 1st, the GM didn't sign the ridiculous "Love Contract". How's that working out so far? Love vs. Felton. In Love, you had multiple turnovers, poor decision making and inexperience, and in Felton you have the exact opposite. Nuff said on that. By signing the "Oldies" you have veteran leadership, translation..a steady ship all at the cost of about 12 per year (Sheed, Thomas, Smith, Kidd, Camby) vs young inexperience players had they gone that route(I'm certain, had he, the knicks wouldn't be 5-0). As much as I hate Dolan, I'll give him a pass on this so called puppetism.
