08:10 AM ET 11.15 | On Wednesday, the Heat fell to 0-3 against the Clippers at Staples Center since signing LeBron James and Chris Bosh, this time with Dwyane Wade ailing. Wade, who sprained his left foot on Monday against Houston, did not participate in the Heat's shootaround on Wednesday morning and had an X-ray on his left foot an hour before the game. In hindsight, maybe he should have sat this one out. He finished with six points in 29 minutes of work. In two of his last three games, Wade has failed to score in double digits. ... Asked after Wednesday's game if Wade would play on Thursday, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra simply said, "We'll see." Wade injured his thumb on Monday against Memphis and sprained his left foot stepping on Bosh against Houston.

QUOTE(#11):

Yup. I truly don't understand why so many people think they are a shoe in to win back to back titles. There is a lot that can go wrong there.

They are not a shoe-in.

They are the favorite but the NBA season is a long one...injuries happen, teams round into form.

If I recall, Miami came out last season playing a very fast style, putting up a lot of points...then they slowed it down a tad and played better defense as the season wore on.

Miami is 6-3 and Wade is hobbled with an ankle issue. Bosh played poorly last night as well.

This team is just fine.

Kudos to the Knicks, they are playing good basketball early too...be nice to see some Heat-Knick rivalries again.

Good point, the Heat have been to the NBA finals for two years in a row. It's pretty hard to make it to the finals three years in a row, juat ask the Lakers.

I enjoy it when the Miami Heat have problems.

Why is that?

QUOTE(#6):

I don't know if its from them playing too much or rather they know that the regular season means nothing- that they aren't really putting in that 100% effort we saw out of them last year-They- at 75% should be able to coast to the best record- soI doubt we'll see them 'turn it on' until april, when they are gettign into playoff mode

Bingo.
