08:17 AM ET 11.15 | The Hurricanes could hardly afford to lose senior receiver Davon Johnson, who sustained a knee injury during practice Tuesday and is not expected to play Saturday. His total receiving yardage ranks third best on the team, behind Phillip Dorsett (648) and Rashawn Scott (512). Scott is suspended indefinitely. Wide receiver Allen Hurns, who broke his left thumb last Saturday, is expected to play with the proper wrapping or soft cast. Freshmen receivers Malcolm Lewis and Robert Lockhart are already out with season-ending injuries. That leaves Dorsett, freshman Herb Waters (five catches) and senior Kendal Thompkins (two catches) as the only healthy scholarship wide receivers available. Walk-on Garrett Kidd also could see playing time.
