01:32 PM ET 11.15 | The Cleveland Browns are now in the process of a thorough roster review under new team president Joe Banner. Two of the decisions on tap for Banner and whoever ends up working in the front office and head coaching spot is whether or not to re-sign veterans Phil Dawson and Josh Cribbs. Banner played his cards close to his vest on the two 2013 free agents. "I???ll never speak about a specific player. But we???re beginning an internal process of starting to look at where we???re at next year. It???s not just restricted to who???s a free agent this year. Who do we have coming up in the next year or two as we???re building a core that we want to hold onto, that is either free now or will be in a year or two? We???ve started to have some meetings and discussions about that. I don???t envision any of that happening in the next few weeks. It???s a process we???ve begun. You want to have that done certainly no later than the end of the season."

Wouldn't you want the new coach to have some say in who to keep? As in "I can work with this guy, that guy doesn't fit," etc. Or does deciding during the season mean they are keeping the current HC one more year?

Golden leg!! Simply one of the best kickers in NFL. Add the fact that half his season is kicking into the Browns Stadium's swirling winds, his record is that much more impressive.
Cribbs always gives 110%, love the guys effort...however, hard to pay him the big bucks when the value of returners has diminished with the new kickoff rules and he has never really progressed as a WR. But I know he will always give you everything. If any team had a roster full of players who all gave the effort Cribbs does, that would be one unbelievable team.

Phil Dawson is the man! I may have had enough of Cribb's mouth though. I love him on and off the field but his mouth has been an issue this year.

Well he is just recently become vocal...but he has a lot of points. Facts are, when he was on offense, he did not develop as a true WR and his production as a returner went dramatically down. Now his returns are better again, maybe in part because of his lack of play in offense?? But regardless, he still ALWAYS gives everything when he is on the field. I like him because I WISH the NFL had more players with his desire and will.
