Karl allows second-guessing with McGee

08:13 AM ET 11.16 | Nuggets fans were left wondering whether it was Jordan Hamilton's travel on the final possession or a late Danilo Gallinari airball that sealed Denver's fate. Or perhaps even keeping a scorching JaVale McGee on the bench, as numerous fans proclaimed on Twitter during the infuriating denouement to Denver's 98-93 loss to Miami on Thursday. ... Asked about his decision to sit McGee down the stretch, like he generally does, [George Karl] said: "That's fair to second-guess. I just don't feel comfortable playing JaVale and Kenneth Faried in defensive schemes (down the stretch), I think we make too many mistakes. I thought JaVale played great and when I took him out (with 7:39 left), I was initially thinking about putting him back in the game."

Once again we see that opinions in the NBA are often a snap shot of an unfinished horse race. Last season everyone was pointing to Denver's relative success, talking about how NY got the shaft on the Melo deal. In the the most recent snap shot, how does our *** taste now?

Agreed now, and I expressed as much when the trade was made for Melo. You had'em all claiming they got the best of the deal and the Knicks destroyed themselves. I've always said in the end, look who will be more successful.......and OBTW, the fans in Denver wanted Melo to resign, we he didn't, then came the bitterness!

Who's bitter? The trade was good for both and I still love Melo. He just needed ca defensive C and a vet PG in NY. Now he has it and look what he does. Denver has had a lot of personel changes and guys to fit in. They will be fine this season and will have a comparable record as NY by the All-Star break.

Its never finished which is my point.

"It's never finished ..." -- does that mean I can never conclude that Zeke bringing in Eddie Curry was a mistake ?
