08:30 AM ET 11.16 | The full recovery expected of Blake Geoffrion appears to be well underway. [Geoffrion] was released from the Montreal General Hospital on Wednesday, following his emergency surgery last weekend for a depressed skull fracture. The 24-year-old Hamilton Bulldogs forward has managed to walk around downtown Montreal briefly with his fiancee, Katelyn, and his mother, Kelly, and have a bite of lunch. As he recovers from the surgery, Danny Geoffrion said his son is "doing great." ... Blake says he gets tired quickly, which is normal, [Danny Geoffrion] said. He slept for about three hours after his short walk downtown. "It's just total rest and then it's just one day at a time," Geoffrion said. "It's tough on him."

Good Luck to you Mr. Geoffrion, as I've said before, this sort of injury can be a killer, just make a full and speedy recovery and we'll see you back on the ice again.

As if this Kid did not have enough pressure to succeed already. Now to try and make the big show after this injury will be a huge "if"

Boom Boom would be proud of you.

Indeed!

Oh! And, take your time, son. You won't be playing NHL hockey any time soon anyways.

Well Harry...if there is anything to family genes...Boom Boom had his final rights given to him once and was back on the 5 weeks later.
But good luck to Blake. I hope he can keep the family trade going at the highest level...It does look like the NHL is going to give him plenty of time to recover though...

Good thing these players don't take any risks playing this game.

Glad to hear he's out of the hospital and doing well. Not sure he should be playing contact sports anymore tho. That would be taking one hell of a chance.
