03:01 PM ET 11.16 | The loss of James Harden continues to change the way the Oklahoma City Thunder play. Besides his creativity with the ball, the biggest area Harden helped the team was that he allowed coach Scott Brooks to play several reserves at once. With Harden not around, Brooks has now come to realize that he needs to change the way he uses his bench. That's why he told The Oklahoman that he's planning on playing star Kevin Durant with the second unit more and taking him out of the game sooner in the first quarter. "Obviously his points are going to go up," center Kendrick Perkins said to defend the decision. "And his shot attempts. I mean, anything can help. I just feel like at this time we can???t afford not to have [Russell Westbrook] or Kevin on the court."

Not a bad move. Playing with my main man Russell Westbrook I'm sure he feels some nights that he's not get enough shots up. That being said I have to say, I love the way his game is developing. Hitting the boards this year, and dropping dimes. Expanding his game just enough to become a Champion. And ohh yeah can't forget the fact that Serg thinks he has a jump shot all of a sudden. Great move Scotty!

Maynor has not stepped up. Remember all the people last year who said OKC should move RW to 2 guard ... and start Maynor. I also thought Perry J. would provide more off the bench.

Takes time to gel and their new parts are expected to contribute this season. Jones and Martin will be fine and getting Durant an extra 5 to 8 shots will work well for them down the line
