Problem with Dolphins is lack of leadership

05:07 PM ET 11.16 | Ryan Tannehill is a rookie. Joe Philbin is a head coach. Who else has bothered to step up for the Miami Dolphins to take over this team as a leader? The answer is nobody. Anthony Fasano has never been a vocal leader, likely due to the fact that his on-field production is too erratic. Still, you would expect a veteran to step up and help. That hasn't happened as of yet. Nor has it with Brian Hartline and Davone Bess. One would think that Jabbar Gaffney would have brought some leadership to the offense but he has played one game of the four Miami has suited up for since his arrival. For his part, Ryan Tannehill seems to be trying but until he is ready to get into a veteran's face and make his case, he won't be that undeniable leader. He needs to make those around him accountable for their play and his own. Of the entire offense, only center Mike Pouncey seems to be motivated to do the talking. Where is the players council leaders? Jake Long, Reggie Bush, and Karlos Dansby who wanted to form their own internal leadership council? Well, we covered two of them. Let's do the other.

They're blaming the lack of leadership on the wrong people. They really ought to be looking at Jeff Ireland and Stephen Ross. These two bozos will never create a winning environment as long as it's structured the way that it is. Launch Ireland and mandate that Ross take a back seat. Then, maybe something could be built.

Defensive coordinators know how to bait Tannehill into throwing picks, especially when the Fish fall behind and have to play catchup.

With someone named "Tannehill" you will never win. Just like "Nagle" and "Leftwich" and so on ...

Funny how when the Dolphins had a winning record, they were amazing, and surprising, and wonderful, and Joe Philbin was the second coming of Bill Walsh. Now all of a sudden the team is showing their lack of depth (not Philbin's fault) and lose a couple of games in a row, and there aren't any leaders on the team? Yeah, right.

Exactly
They have already exceeded the pre-season expectations. Given the players on the team, especially on offense, there will be some rough games. But they are way better than I thought they would be.

Andrew Luck doesn't have a problem being a Leader, neither does RG III, it must be the coach, he reminds me of a control freak!!!
