05:27 PM ET 11.16 | The San Antonio Spurs will have to play without one of their most promising young players for the next few games. Second-year forward Kawhi Leonard will miss the next 10-14 days with knee tendinitis, according to the team. Leonard is averaging 10.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game this season after a promising rookie year in 2011-12. In his absence, veteran Stephen Jackson will likely receive more time.

I'm actually not that impressed with him as much as what the media and the Spurs management project him as " Spur's future". Prolly to drum up trade value.
He is a OK player, very athletic but not that skilled. And tendinitis at such a young age doesn't bode well for him either.
I expected a LOT more from him coming into the season.

Leonard had an exceptional rookie year and worked out like crazy over the summer. Probably a little too much, as evident from the tendonitis. He should bounce back in the two weeks with treatment. Meanwhile, Spurs are in a bit of a "hold the fort" mode as two other players are just coming back from injury.
