06:54 PM ET 11.16 | Lane Kiffin only spent one year with the Tennessee Volunteers but the fallout from his utter destruction that the program continues, as the NCAA has handed down further penalties from the various violations made during the Lane Kiffin era. One penalty that was handed down on Friday has already been served: a reduction in evaluation days during the spring 2012 evaluation period is considered to have been completed by the NCAA, but the organization being what it is, felt it necessary to include it anyway. But with these penalties comes the final swift slap in the face from the Lane Kiffin era as Tennessee is now done being reprimanded by the NCAA. But that being said, Tennessee athletic director Dave Hart isn't tickled that the NCAA decided to pile on more penalties at the last minute.

EWO, wasn't Hamilton the AD at Tennessee the same time that LK was there??? Shouldn't Hamilton take most of the blame or doesn't it start at the top??? Mike Garrett took most of the blame as the AD at USC, should there be any difference in this case???

Tennessee athletics director Mike Hamilton, whose tenure with the school has been marred by NCAA violations in several of the Volunteers' athletic programs, resigned from his position Tuesday, a move that will become effective on June 30.

The announcement comes "just days before the school is to go before the NCAA's Committee on Infractions on Saturday after a lengthy investigation into violations committed by the school's men's basketball, football and baseball programs"

Watch how people will make the basketball and baseball issues Lane's fault too.

None of it is Lane's fault...or UTk's. It's all Texas fault.

Why are these coaches not penalized. They can break rules and leave for another program, and while the schools are being punished the coach is off the hook. You want to clean it up punish the coaches who are breaking the rules as well as the school.

Hey, will be out your way next week as SLC thrashed Martin 65-7. Carroll was up 49-0 at half when the starters were pulled. Had to miss the game, I'm involved with the F1 race in Austin. Next is EP El Dorado.

LOL, ICE that was my point. Maybe LK should take a little of the blame on the football side, but Hamilton was the AD at the time and he should shoulder most of the blame.

LOL, if you were to punish "ALL" the coaches that were/are breaking the rules, you would end up with the waterboy coaching most of the college football programs!!!

Yeah, figure it will be in Midland or Odessa.

I see another SLC-Euless Trinity showdown coming.

No, eventually you would have coaches who were more involved in their programs and not these "I'll do this and win for a couple of seasons and then move on to a better program without consequences"

Come on, OT...MG took a lot of blame because it wasn't just the Football program, it involved the Basketball and Baseball programs....UTk was football related.

Now the AD probably knew, but I think it was more related to LK than anything else...

Default as I stated in my earlier comment, LK should take a little of the blame, but Hamilton was the AD at the time and IMO the blame starts at the top, just like USC and AD Mike Garrett.
