St-Pierre, Condit at crossroads

09:55 AM ET 11.17 | Dana White said Friday that Georges St-Pierre will face Anderson Silva in the biggest fight in UFC history in May at either Cowboys Stadium, the Rogers Centre in Toronto or a soccer stadium in Brazil. The "if" part of that equation doesn't come until much later. In order for that fairy tale fight to come through, GSP has to beat Carlos Condit. It has to be weird being Condit this week. Everyone in Montreal, St-Pierre's hometown, is rooting against you. Most of the nearly 1 million people who will likely buy the pay per view are hoping you fail. Heck, even your bosses probably have their fingers crossed that you'll lose so that Silva-GSP payday becomes a reality. What's getting lost here is that St-Pierre has to win the toughest fight of his career before he can get to the biggest. Condit might not be the UFC welterweight champion's toughest opponent. But Condit combined with this being St-Pierre's first fight since April 2011 presents the most adversity GSP has had since he was knocked out by Matt Serra in 2007.

I dont think it will be a very close fight. Layoff or no layoff, GSP is just a much, much better fighter.

I thought Condit might have GSP with that head kick in the third, but never really got control or another solid shot in.

GSP still very impressive! But I'd like to see GSP finish off his opponents a bit more....he's seems content with 'out pointing' his opponents. His ground n pound is outstanding no doubt I think his standup is excellent as well and would like to seem him standup more. Last five fights have gone the distance
