Andy Reid: Michael Vick didn't let Eagles down

10:12 AM ET 11.17 | Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is still suffering symptoms almost a week after sustaining a concussion, including headaches, fatigue, heavy eyes, and fogginess. He has officially been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins, and there is no timetable for his return. Rookie quarterback Nick Foles will start in Vick's place. Vick will spend the weekend in a dark, quiet area and must avoid exercising and watching video. "I know that one of his goals was, obviously, not to get hurt and make it through the season," coach Andy Reid said. "Mike is a very considerate guy. He feels like he lets people down and his teammates down, and that's not the case. He's hurt. One of the toughest guys I've been around, though."

The Eagles let the eagle down...THAT's what they do....

Plenty of blame to go around... but it all starts with the decision to place the future of this team in the hands of Vick.

That's how coaches lose jobs.

There is someone there that let the team down. Andy Reid. They touted Vick's speed and running ability, then insisted he be a pocket passer, even thought there was no pocket to speak of. The O-Line leeked like a sieve. It's a wonder Vick even knows his own name considering how many hits he has taken.

The real question in Philly is "how do coaches lose weight?"

I hope he saved and invested his money well.

His money is pretty much all going to pay off creditors in his bankruptcy. So, not a lot left after that.

Well Andy, if you really like him so much, you can take him with you on your next stop. He will be available.

Mike Vick has taken more shots than a 39 year old heavyweight. I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did. Mike Vick had his best year as an Eagle when the line looked good. That is not coincidental.

Getting your head slammed into the ground was one of the convicts specialties wasn't it? (Maybe there is justice in the world). The fool disgusts me, I can't believe he was allowed back into the league. He's just a diseased low life gang banger. Sooner he's gone the better.

Hiring Howard Mudd and firing Juan Castillo had a lot more to do with letting the Eagles down.

The worst offensive line in the NFL. And that's no small task considering there are some really bad offensive lines in the NFL right now.

They'll be lucky to win two more games this season.

A solid line is their biggest problem it just magnifies the other deficiencies

Well Vick must learn the OL sucks get rid of the ball and when scrambling slide, with so many injuries lately its probably best to use the running game and us the West Coast offense short passes until the defense cheats then throw the long ball
