09:11 AM ET 11.18 | In his appearance at Harvard, commissioner Roger Goodell touched on a few additional topics that are important to the NFL, among them:Thursday night games are here to stay, for now. "We have to look at the data and see if there's a higher frequency of injuries," said Goodell. "We have not seen that. If we did, we would certainly evaluate that. "[The players], actually, in most cases, like the Thursday night game. They don't practice much the week of the game, and they get 10 days off after that. They enjoy that aspect of it. The reaction, while always mixed, right now has been quite positive from a players' standpoint."

So if it makes sense and everybody likes it, you'll "look at the data". Are you talking for the sake of? Damn, get rid of MNFB, nobody watches it anymore and the games are usually crap! And any night where I don't have to listen to Berman's voice is a great night!

It is very rare that you and I agree on anything, with this being one of the exceptions.....I totally concur!

I think thursday football sucks

Probably cause they give us such awesome match-ups like 4-6 Buffalo vs 4-6 Miami.

And just think how many people either come in late or call in sick on Tuesday and Friday

I love Thursday Night Football. The matchups in the college game on Thursdays aren't that interesting. And, it's from Monday to Sunday is too long to wait for my dose of the NFL.

And I am certain that the data will confirm this.

A bad NFL game is better than any How I Met Your Mother Episode.

but that means it is a watered down product, no?other than gambling/fantasty football- if your team isn't in the game... why in the world would you sit and watch mediocrity ?

Because it's football.

meh-people are brainwashed and it starts with espn -

The alternatives are reality TV or talking to my family. Who wants that?

Thursday night football has really cut down on my enjoyment of fantasy football. I've had a spate of "Questionable" players and you just don't know by Thursday (Aaron Hernandez, Greg Jennings pre-surgery) if they'll be able to go. The game planning is terrible, the away team has almost no chance of winning, the games have been uncompelling and I never do more than peek in if I have a player in.
