12:18 PM ET 11.18 | The injuries to Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will keep him out for three weeks, according to a report. The Steelers haven't confirmed a timetable on Roethlisberger, who is suffering from shoulder and rib injuries suffered against the Kansas City Chiefs last Monday night. If he is indeed gone for three weeks then he will miss both games against the Ravens. The Steelers play the Ravens on Sunday night and again in Week 13.

Why are the games with the Ravens scheduled so close together?

There goes the division -- shame to lose it on injuries but there you are. Leftwich is a stiff and ain't gonna be pulling any rabits out of any hats vs Baltimore. Best we can do is get Ben, Antonio Brown, Polamalu, and Clark healthy by December and make a run for the wildcard...worked for us in the past. Its beyond time we got a good backup QB...haven't really had one since Tommy Maddox in '04. Charlie Batch is solid but very injury prone, and about 40 at this point. Big Ben is tough but he's not superhuman. Dixon was a stiff too so we need to invest a 2nd-3rd rounder in a good young QB or go FA this offseason and pick up someone like Matt Moore.

Is it just me or has every QB Tomlin brought in or brought back a black QB? Brought Leftwich in, brought Batch back, drafted Dixon, signed Troy Smith briefly, brought Johnson in this training camp...hey coach, is that a trend or just coincidence?

Look at Pitt's remaining schedule before you type.

I guess the obvious, but apparently not obvious enough, point made is that if we lose two games to Baltimore, they will not only have a much better record than the Steelers in three weeks, but will totally be in the drivers seat for divisional tie breakers...and they're playing very well with a 7-2 record so was projecting continued good play from them.

The Steelers are always a tough out, regardless of injuries. But beating the Ravens without Ben is a tall order.

That's my thinking -- we are tough and may keep the games close but Ben is the straw that stirs the drink...and Byron Leftwich is not in the same league. Also, missing both starting safeties and Antonio Brown (our team voted MVP last year) is killer. If we can steal one of the games I will be double thrilled.

wiseup:The steelers throw back uniforms look like a swarm of bumble bees. With Roethlisberger out, the steelers will have to rely on the running game and defense. Ravens may pad their lead.

It's just you, cracker. Big Buns is white, but Tomlin is looking for a good match who can step in and play the same sort of game Leftwich fills the bill.

West PA: Maddox was the starter in 04 until the Ravens injured him and Big Ben came in and the rest is history...

Keep Ben out. Ease Troy back in against Cleveland, he only needs a handful of snaps this week.

Let Baltimore have the division. They earned it, and the AFC is so top-heavy this year that getting one of the Wild Card slots should be easy-peasy if we handle our business in Ohio.

But, their defense isn't that great. They have a lot of injuries to their defense and aren't the same dominant defense they have had in recent years.

Yeah because right now they are only ranked as #1 total defense so they re really slipping
