Holmgren would consider the Cowboys job

01:55 PM ET 11.18 | Mike Holmgren is on his way out in Cleveland, leaving the team at the end of the season. But whether he's done working in the NFL is a whole other question. According to a report from ESPN, the only head coaching job Holmgren would consider is the Dallas Cowboys job. The problem with that is that Jason Garrett is currently the Cowboys head coach. But that didn't stop the NFL rumor mill from sending Sean Payton there during his contract mishap with the New Orleans Saints. The Cowboys job is in demand without even being available.

Just what the Cowboys need, a washed up recycled HC.

Problem is, after the Cleveland gig, I would think Holmgren's stock is down...way down.

I'd rather have Switzer back.

Everyone wants to be Jerry Jones puppet.

Take a number and get in line!

That may be so, but compared to Jason Garrett Holmgren is the second coming of Vince Lombardi. Let's face it, he couldn't possibly be any worse than what they have going with the red headed step child, could he?

Holmgren is insane. Payton is insane. Garrett is insane. Who would willingly work for Jerry Jones, that worthless ****-sucking mother******.

Ouch...

Holmgren would insist on a free meal ticket at the all-you-can-eat buffet; sort of an endless bucket of beans. JJ might balk at the expense.

agree... any proven HC would be a big, positive change in dallas when you've had garrett the last few yrs. talk about "stock is down" and you're talking about garrett. this job has shown all his weaknesses and how unprepared this guy was to step into this role. it's time for cowboy country club to end for this soft group and holmgren, gruden, cowher... any of these guys would be a welcome change vs. what we have now.

I agree, garrett must go. the players have no discipline and seems like they could careless if they we or lose. It would be nice to have a coach that would get a little mad and so some emotion when his players do not perform. Bring in a Gruden or cowher to straighten out their Asses.
