Linehan's job in jeopardy after ugly scene

08:04 AM ET 11.19 | The Packers helped keep division rival Detroit in the NFC North cellar, though the Lions were complicit. For a while, this was promising, and the crowd was noisily into it. Then it ended dismally, as the Lions blew a late lead and fell to the Packers 24-20 to drop to 4-6. A Thanksgiving Day meeting with Houston looms, and while the record is beyond repair, someone needs to fix that offense, and someone has to shoulder the blame. Offensive coordinator Scott Linehan's job should be in jeopardy, and not because he was verbally confronted by receivers coach Shawn Jefferson on the sideline, an ugly scene caught by TV cameras. The offense is in disarray, and it's not as simple as pinning it on the quarterback.

So, some receivers dropped some balls, ran the wrong route and the QB threw some bad passes. Sounds like it is the receiver coach who should have his job on the line. But honestly, I think it is more than that what holds this team back.

Here's my armchair QB assessment. I watched the Vikes game last week and throught Gunther whatever his name is, should have been canned. Every single down it was a four man rush. Not to hard to figure out how to attack it since it never changed. If Fairly hadn't finally after two seasons, started to play to his potential, it would have been disastrous.
Why the Lions didn't rush six with the patched up O line of there's is beyond thought. If they can't pass, and obviously have no running game, no kicking game, they score no points.
It's the D line with all the stars that suck. Talk about playing below your potential? Yes I do agree with Calvin J, others need to step up and catch the ball too besides him but he isn't exactly lighting it up this year either.

Yeah, but Stafford was also throwing the ball at times like he didn't know his receivers' routes, as if they hadn't even practised. It was painful to watch.

I am a Lions fan and yesterday's game was embarassing......Stafford seemed to be throwing to places no one could catch the ball............Linehan may lose his job and he may not be the only one.........

That was fun to watch and Rodgers should get his due. He's definitely a cool customer. How Cobb caught that last TD pass I'll never know. When he threw it I thought it would be picked or at least knocked down. Which team will get on a December roll and make a run at the SB this year? My guess is Denver.
