08:05 AM ET 11.19 | Women's mixed martial arts champion Ronda Rousey made history when she became the first female in history to sign with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Rousey will once again make history when she makes her UFC debut, according to president Dana White. Following UFC 154: St-Pierre vs. Condit, White made it clear that Rousey has the opportunity to headline a card in her promotional debut. "She's the champ," he said. "Unless there's a weight division higher than her that the champ would be defending the title, then yeah, she'd be the main event." White made it clear that Rousey, who has major appeal and could bring a load of crossover viewers, will be placed on a pay-per view card and not a free card on FOX, FX or FUEL. Rousey has been seen nationally on talk shows and magazine covers, and when you couple that with her appearance in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, you have a worldwide star that can take the sport by storm.
