Martin won't crack OKC's starting lineup ... yet

08:13 AM ET 11.19 | For the time being, Thunder coach Scott Brooks doesn't see a change in the offing. [Brooks] said he currently has no plans to insert Kevin Martin into the starting lineup but left the door open for that to change down the line. "At this moment, no, I don't see it changing," Brooks said. "You never know. It's a long season. A lot of things can happen. But we have a pretty good track record with our starters. They understand their role and they do a good job." ... "[Martin] obviously has been a starter in this league for a lot of years and this is an adjustment. I think he's doing a great job of making that adjustment. But his minutes are not going to be too far from being starter minutes."

Because he's more liked then labron he won't hear as much about it like labron did. But durant isn't winning any chip until his light ass gets a post up game. unless your dirk and thats only because labron folded, you dont win in this league without a presence in the paint. The new nba suggest it could be a guard who gives you that dominant down low presence. It's needed is the bottom line. When your main threat is a big man with no post up game......your not winning chips!

OKC is the new Phoenix Suns of the Dumbtoni era but only with Brooks being the moron underacheiving coach this time around. You spend the money if you want to win a ring, they should've kept Harden at all costs if they were interested in winning rings but nah, they want to sell us the BS with this "I need to eat all I can eat" light in the ass lineup. I said this earlier OKC is not winning a title until they get a legit post presence. Perkins is not going to give you any offense so it comes down to whether Ibaka can do it.

I agree, to add, Martin doesn't care about stats or being a star. He just wants to contribute and help carry the load. I like this trade for OKC. If OKC can add another solid big man that can score like Scola they would be complete.
