Can they come up w/ the $10 mill a year that is the asking price (rumored) for Gruden and his staff?

If not, Petrino is the best value buy.....bet he'd sign for $2 mill

Must be nice to get a parting gift of several million after the pink slip. Most people are lucky to get a few weeks pay. I remember Bob Nardelli of Home Depot got a parting gift of spme $200 million. I gots to get a gig like that.

Can Tennessee afford any more ridicule? First, Fulmer and Pearl, then Kiffen, now Dooley maybe going winless in SEC play. Hiring Petrino would be like pouring gasoline on the fire.

Depends on whether they are looking to make a splash with a big name. Plenty of good coaches out there looking for a chance to show what they can do.

I remember a guy that had been in the position of CEO of McKesson Inc. for about 9 months and got several million (I think it was about 7 million) for termination over a merger gone bad that he probably had nothing even to do with. They cleaned house and gave him several million for 9 months' work. /shaking my head.

I heard that Jimbo Fisher might want out of FSU for the exact reason of finances. Yes, he is guaranteed a salary, but if FSU is hurting for finance, then you don't get facility upgrades, your recruiting budget is not as big as you want it or probably need it, etc.
