01:17 PM ET 11.19 | According to head coach Andy Reid on Monday, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick will start next week if he is medically cleared to play. Vick sat out the Eagles' 31-6 loss to the Washington Redskins on Sunday due to a concussion he suffered in Week 10. Vick was forced to leave the Eagles' Week 10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in the second quarter when he took a hard hit to the head. Rookie quarterback Nick Foles replaced Vick in Week 10 and made the start on Sunday against Washington in Vick's absence. In his first NFL start, Foles completed 21 of 46 passing attempts for 204 yards. He was also intercepted twice.

Keep losing, fire all the coaches, and use the draft position to draft a real quarterback.

Oh, and find some back-up offensive linemen that can actually block.

"... if he is MEDICALLY cleared..." Kinduva refreshing phrase when describing if Vick is available to play.

November 19, 2012  01:58 PM ET

According to alot of the talk on ESPN Philly, you can't blame the 40.5 QB Rating, 0 TDs + 2 picks on Foles... Cause he's only a Rookie QB and the O-Line stinks.

And that second INT was only b/c they put him in a 3rd + 21.

Of course the O-line stunk and he was a rookie last week - but that didn't stop the Hosts & the callers from calling Foles the next Messiah and dreaming playoffs.

Good stuff...

I defy you to name one QB coming out of college this year for whom you would use a high first round pick comfortably. There is not a pro-ready QB in the bunch. Leave it to the Eagles to suck out loud in a year with a horrendous draft class on the horizon.

Kevin Kolb, because it's impossible for him to be much worse than he is.

touche' good sir

I really don't think Vick should start next Sunday. The Eagles aren't going anywhere this year and to rush back after a serious concussion strikes me as unwise. Besides, Foles needs the experience if he's going to be around a while.

November 19, 2012  06:11 PM ET

Eagles should put Vick back in there. They need to protect the one QB they have who actually has the potential to be effective.

Vick will start WHAT if cleared? Playing football? Holding up banks? Legitimate rape? Drowning and electrocuting dogs? The FN interns need to be clearer with their headlines.

I am sure this news makes Eagles fans very happy:)
