I'd like to see some of the owners, who make NFL quarterbacks look like paupers, kick in this kind of money.

A huge chunk of change. A nice attempt to reverse the Bounty Scandel image that still plagues them. From head hunters to benevolent goodwill. I think it worked

You would be hard pressed to find a negative thing to say about Drew Brees, the guy against all odds comes in and does what he does game in and game out. Helps the community off the field that he represents on the field. A true role model and not just for his on the field exploits.

I'm sure the guy who lost both his new Lexus's and the flooring on his beach front house will appreciate the donation. He has applied to several agency's, the government, and the insurance company.

And I'm sure the working-class and middle-class people who lost everything & can't afford to rebuild will appreciate it, too.

Not saying some things didn't get tore up and no one suffered, but I've been through more hurricanes than I can recall. A cat 1 with an 11' surge barely warrants the rise of an eyebrow. That's just good fishin' weather.

I have too.
And it wasn't the category this time, it was that it hit one of the most densely populated areas in the nation, which isn't used to hurricanes.

Well the eye of hurricane Charlie passed within a mile of my front door and I didn't call for charity to fix the damage, if that's what badass means? I would just call it paying your own way and not being a useless hump. Build your house on the ocean and occasionally nature will smack you around. Build it on a volcano and it might smoke you. Build it below sea level and your just stupid. Doesn't mean the taxpayers should foot the bill for your million $ view.

Yeah, got to agree with you on that. I even like his ads, unlike those featuring a certain NFC North quarterback.
