03:17 PM ET 11.19 | Injured during the second quarter of Sunday's win over San Diego, Denver Broncos starting tailback Willis McGahee is now expected to miss upwards of eight weeks of action with a torn MCL according to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN. While Broncos head coach John Fox was originally quick to say that he kept his starting running back on the sidelines for precautionary reasons against the Chargers due to the significant swelling, McGahee has a well-documented track record of knee injuries dating back to his days in college with the Miami Hurricanes.

Real bad.

Could be worse--the tough part of their schedule is over, and it sounds like he may be back in time for the playoffs. The backups should be enough to cruise through their remaining games.

He's 31. That's an old man in running back years.

Depends on how bad the tear is, but I don't expect him back this year.

I wish Denver had drafted Doug Martin (as per my request).

Hillman isn't an every down back.

He'll split carries with Ball won't he? Besides, your toughest opponent left is Baltimore (I'd like to say Oakland isn't a tough out, but who am I kidding?) so you should be fine.

Anyway, tough loss for a guy who had a great comeback. Just don't know if he'll make it back this time.

Yeah, If Willis was gonna get hurt, now is the right time...

NoShow Moreno might even get a few carries in the weeks ahead...

The Broncos had 3 tough games on their schedule this year and lost all 3. They will be one and done in the playoffs
