New Big Ten teams rearrange divisions

Noooooooooo! Maryland has to go to the Legends. "Why", you ask? Because all the schools that start with M or N and Iowa are in the Legends. That's why.

As opposed to the excitement generated by the SEC when they put Missouri in the East Division?

According to Delaney, the AD's will collectively decide the division placements.

Any word on if they are going to change those ridiculous division names?

Just as soon as you guys reclassify your self as "sort of independent". The Big Ten is a brand name with coast to coast recognition. We won't be dropping it.

I think the division names are big enough jokes on their own. (Sorry DS but it's true! Leaders/Legends is just plain bad...)

I don't care for the divisional names. Not sure about a geographic split, though. At least we're trying to find balance within the conference. That only becomes more difficult the larger the footprint.

Piratey, as a Domer you put yourself above conference play, so your comments are of no value. It is true, putting Maryland in the Leaders division should add an extra "W" for OSU. We still have to get past the Legends champion and we do play them as well. The past two years we've played MSU, Nebraska and always play UM... so what is your beef?
