12:35 AM ET 11.20 | As the Pittsburgh Steelers continue to search for depth after their quarterbacks have been hit with shoulder and rib injuries, they will turn to the former signal-caller of an in-state rival. The Steelers will work out former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Mike Kafka. Kafka was one of the surprising cuts this offseason after being let go in favor of rookie Nick Foles, who is currently starting in Philadelphia. Kafka is an athletic quarterback that has shown promise.

If the Eagles thought Foles was better than he, the Steelers oughta stick with Hoyer, and let Kafka get back to his writing.

Kafka was supposed to be all about upside. Coming out of the draft he was saying how he could improve and go to the next level, but he never took that step. He's been an interception machine since high school, apparently, and I guess he just never shook it.
I'm glad we went with someone else, even if I have no idea who the Hoyer kid is. But the Pats thought he could be a game manager if Brady went down, that's a pretty strong endorsement.
