Petrie has stripped Kings of passion, identity

07:36 AM ET 11.20 | The issues in Sacramento these days appear to be running deeper than mere personnel moves. If the Maloofs are remotely interested in sustaining the Kings in Sacramento, tabling the new arena vs. renovated arena conversations at least for a few more days/months/years, they need to issue one sure, swift, franchise-shaking statement. Kings basketball president Geoff Petrie has to go, and he has to take the entire basketball operations staff with him. ... These are systemic, rotting-at-the-core issues, yet Petrie's approach is to pretend none of this exists. He is an isolationist at a time when the masses want to be included. ... [Petrie] has stripped the once-proud franchise of its passion, its identity, its collective soul.

I have a hunch your wish will be granted. But it's going to probably read more like this;

Kings ownership are going to <fill_in_the_blank>, and they are taking the entire basketball organization with him

I remember this cat playing in the NBA when I was a young kid, he was a non descript bum then, and I'm quite certain he is one now. Absolutely nothing has changed, only the Maloofs seem to be a bit rather aloof in keeping this moron aboard a sinking ship.

Seattle anyone?

Clay bennett did the same thing to the Sonics right before he moved them. I know that Seattle may be the favorite to and the kings, but this is sad to see happen. Feel bad for the fans of Sac-Town

Yeah, the Kings suck.
