Pistons not ready to add Webber

Dumars also spoke about the persistent rumors that Detroit was close to re-acquiring Detroit native Chris Webber. "I had dialogue with Chris (Monday) afternoon," Dumars said. "And what I expressed to him, is that we do not have a roster spot open. That has not changed. And if we were to have a roster spot open, we'd still have to have a conversation about (his) role, minutes ... and all those things." Adding Webber, which appears to be a longshot for now, likely would require Detroit to trade away one of its players in the final year of his current deal. The most likely candidates are Flip Murray, Primoz Brezec or Walter Herrmann.

C-Webb was a nice fill in last year, and he tripped us all out by wearing a wide receiver number as an NBA center, but there's no need to bring him back. The Pistons have a good thing going up front with 'Sheed, Prince, Maxiell and McDyess. No need to screw it up. Why do you think they shipped Mohammed out? No minutes for extra big men. Murray has his moments, so keep him around. Brezec or Herrmann are expendable, but not to bring back Webber. Don't do it Joe D. You've ben a top executive since you started, even though you did draft Darko. You still my boy from the Boot - Louisiana that is!

Trade Flip Saunders! We need a coach who has the ability to use his bench effectively without wearing out are starters night in & night out. This is a championship squad that had their pride stripped when lowly New York pounded them. We shipped Mohammed off who then went on to score a double double against us - that made sense? Now we are going to get rid of Murray who could be a big contributor as well - another good move? Do me a favor Joe D. ........ bring back Larry Brown so we win a championship this year!

How the once mighty have fallen. Now, the Pistons would rather keep Flip Murray, Primoz Brezec and Walter Herrmann over C-Webb. He should have taken the offer from Greece. What a dolt.

Can't he just go away.
